How Do I Create a ZIP File?

For Windows

1. Locate the file or folder that you want to zip.
2. Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.
   
   A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name.

For MacOS

1. Select the files you want to add to the zip file.
2. Right-click one of the files. ...
3. In the menu, click Compress (the number will vary depending on how many files you have selected).
4. A zip file will appear.
5. If you want, you can type a new name for the zip file.
