On rare occasions issues may arise when trying to use your FileTransfers.net web site, such as not being able to upload files successfully. These problems can typically be resolved by clearing the cache and cookies in your browser.
Find out how to remedy these problems for:
Microsoft Edge
- Make sure you are logged out of your file transfer site.
- Click Settings and More menu (the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner of the browser window) and select Settings.
- At the top, under Top Settings, click Clear browsing data.
- Under Time range, select All time.
- Select Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
- Quit Edge. Re-launch Chrome and log back into your file transfer site.
Chrome
Mac OS X and Windows
- Make sure you are logged out of your file transfer site.
- Click the "Customize and Control" menu (the three vertical dots) in the upper-right corner of the browser and select "Settings".
- On the left, click Privacy and Security, select "Delete browsing data" (first item on the list). Alternately, you can type "delete" in the search field and the select the highlighted "Delete browsing data".
- Select all three options shown in the screen shot below and choose "All time" from the Time range drop-down.
- Click Clear data.
- It will take a few moments, depending on how much data you have to clear. When finished it will return to the main Preferences screen.
- Quit Chrome, re-launch, and log back into your file transfer site.
iOS (iPhones and iPads)
- In Chrome, touch the "More..." icon in the lower-right corner (the three horizontal dots).
- Touch "Settings", then touch "Privacy and security", then touch "Clear browsing data" at the top.
- Touch on "Time range" and select "All time".
- Touch on "Browsing data", check "Browsing history", "Cookies, site data", and "Cached images and files".
- Touch "Confirm".
- Touch "Delete data".
Firefox
Mac OS X and Windows
- Make sure you are logged out of your file transfer site.
- Click on the "hamburger" menu in the upper-right (three horizontal lines) and select Settings.
- On the left, select Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the "Cookies and Site Data" section and click Clear browsing data.
- Next to "When", select Everything.
- Check Browsing & download history, cookies and site data, and Temporary cached files and pages.
- Click Clear.
- Quit Firefox, re-launch, and log back into your file transfer site.
Safari
Mac OS X
- Log out of your file transfer site.
- If you don't see the Develop item in the menu bar then go to Safari → Preferences → Advanced and check “Show Develop menu in menu bar”.
- Close Preferences, click on the Develop menu, select Empty Caches (or press Ctrl-Option-E).
- Now go to History → Clear History...
- On the Clear menu, select "all history" and click Clear History.
- Quit Safari, re-launch, and then log back in.
iOS (iPhones and iPads)
- Go to Settings, tap Apps at the bottom, then select Safari.
- Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Select All history and then tap Clear History.
